What mistakes could stall creating a cheaper SKU, a sale, or a free weekend on steam? The only skill that comes in is when you run into another decent melee player, and lock-on reduces a lot of this to luck and latency. This is not skill and for a PvP game, that is a problem. Whether hold spamming or quick spamming depends on how good the player is. Right now melee is about holding one button and spamming the other. Which in my opinion, would be that range is more versatile and better for most situations and that melee only wins if they get the jump or walk on a ranged from around the corner. Let us fix infantry fights, get the ranged vs melee to feel good. I just don't think vehicles are the way to go right now. Maybe it is just me, but really pushing the vehicles seems like a mistake.Īnd don't get me wrong, I love game and I play it almost every day right now and have been playing since January (with a huge break in there). They sit in their horribly constricted zones and do nothing but drive around looking for a fight that doesn't yet exist. They break up infantry fights, dominate the field and cause more frustration on the infantry players' part. And when they are driven there are two situations: The team that utilizes its tanks the most effectively seems to win, but no one wants to drive or shoot them (including me and I think they are good). No one likes driving tanks, no matter how good they are (unless it is eldar). Now, melee classes are in on it with the D-Bash + shoot in the face till dead, but they are now learning how to abuse the system and dodge/cancel the stun (jump packs, I am looking at you in particular) through bugs/exploits, which again, puts the frustration on the ranged players. Why push this on us when we still need a functional melee system that isn't just straight frustrating for people that use knives. Honestly, this is not a vehicle game at this point. I guess it's safe to say that around summer 2017 players can expect a sudden cancellation notice just like it happened so many times before with similar products. Summing up, the future of EC indeed does look grimdark.and that's the only thing it has in common with WH40k universe imo. Another thing that might help EC live a bit longer is the RTS cash shop however in order to have it working you need quality shop items and a big player base who would buy them - can't see any of these. To me it seems very doubtful, the console market is even more demanding, picky and competitive than the PC one. The success of consoles release will determine the future of EC, if there's enough money the development will continue and the servers will be operational. The only thing that's keeping EC 'alive' is Bandai Namco's financial drip until the game is released on consoles. JOIN THE CRUSADE!
